UNB, Dhaka :
Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) in a drive on Wednesday removed five business structures from the two multi-storey residential buildings in the city’s Gulshan area.
A mobile court of Rajuk zone-4, led by its executive magistrate Khandker Aliur Rahman, conducted the drive, said M Atiqur Rahman, Rajuk assistant director (Pubic Relations and Protocol).
During the drive, the team sealed off a cloth showroom, “Choice Collection”, on the ground floor of a multi-storey building on Road-123 of the area and disconnected electricity and gas lines, he said.
Besides, it demolished two office rooms as those were constructed on the rooftop beyond the design.
In another drive, the mobile court team evicted two grocery shops from the ground floor and a beauty parlour from another multi-storey building on the same road.
It also cut off electricity connections of the three business houses and dismantled the partisan walls of the building which was built illegally on the ground floor, Atiqur Rahman said.
