After three successive wins in the 10th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) football, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club played to a 1-1 draw with Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society in their 4th match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Sunday.
With the day’s result, Sheikh Jamal DC maintained their 2nd slot in the league collecting 10 points from four outings while Rahamatganj advanced to the 3rd slot from 4th by virtue of better goal difference, collecting seven points from four matches with two wins one draw and one defeat.
However, last year’s runners-up Chittagong Abahani took solo lead with all-win run securing 12 points from four matches while defending champions Dhaka Abahani slipped to 4th from 3rd despite securing seven points from outings with two wins one draw and one loss.
In the day’s match, Sheikh Jamal DC took the lead in the 20th minute as a left footed shot of their Gambian forward Momodou Bah’s from the top of the six yard box found the net, utilizing a 35 yards long pass from forward Enamul Haque (1-0).
