Rafia Sultana was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Department of Islamic Studies under Arts Faculty of Dhaka University. The DU syndicate on June 21 this year conferred her PhD degree on “Islam and Communal Amity: Perspective Bangladesh and Outer World” under the supervision of Prof Dr Shamsul Alam, Department of Islamic Studies of the university. Dr Rafia is the daughter of Md. Rafiqul Islam and Sajida Khatun living in Narshingdi. She secured first class in both BA (Hons) and MA in Islamic Studies, University of Dhaka. Dr Rafia has been working as a Senior Lecturer for Department of Islamic Studies, Bangladesh Islami University, Dhaka. She seeks blessing of all for her future uplift in life.
