Staff Reporter :The qulkhwani of former chief justice Mustafa Kamal was held at Spectra Convention Centre at Gulshan on Saturday.A milad mahfil was also held on the occasion. Peer Mohammad Murad Ullah of Narinda Madrasah conducted a special doa (prayer) seeking divine blessing for the departed soul. Chief Justice Mozammel Haque, former chief justice K M Hasan, eminent jurist Dr Kamal Hossain, Barrister Mainul Hosein, Barrister Rafiqul Haque, Barrister Jamiruddin Sirkar, Dhaka University Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, Professor Dr Nurul Islam, Professor Rafiqul Islam, the Daily Star Editor Mahfuz Anam, Journalist Shafik Rehman, former Finance Minister Saeeduzzaman, the late justice’s brother singer Mustafa Zaman Abbasi, sister Ferdausi Rahman, daughters Nashid Kamal, Naeela Kamal and Nazeefa Kamal, Kamal’s son-in-law ASM Mainuddin Monem, and a host of relatives, attended the mahfil. Former Chief Justice Mustafa Kamal died of heart attack at his Gulshan residence in the city on Monday at the age of 81. He left behind three daughtersand a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death. He was buried in the capital’s Azimpur graveyard in the same grave of his father.
