Qubee announces plan to switch to LTE

Augere Wireless Broadband Bangladesh Limited (AWBBL), which has been offering broadband internet service in Bangladesh with the brand name of “Qubee”, on Monday announced its plan of switching to LTE (4G) Services all over the country in phase.
“AWBBL is in the process of upgrading its network to LTE,” Chief Commercial Officer of AWBBL Proteek Kundu said in a media statement on Monday.
He added: “We have already launched our LTE services in Bogra and Narayanganj, and we plan to cover the whole country with our LTE Services very soon.”
Qubee began its operation from 2009 riding on WiMax technology to provide fast and wireless internet facility. But, over the period the WiMax technology became obsolete globally while updated technology has emerged and customers are switching to it.
In addition to this, AWBBL continues its focus on its B2B Business, catering to the telecom requirements of its Enterprise customers. Over the last few months, the company has strengthened its product portfolio and is now ready to cater to almost any requirement of an Enterprise customer, said officials.
“Riding on our Superior Service Levels, we cater to some of the big names in the Bangladesh market on Monday and intend to acquire many prestigious accounts in the days to come”, said Mirza Borhan Kabir, Chief Technology Officer of AWBBL.
