The teachers and students of Qawmi madrasas formed an anti-militancy human chain in all the institutions across the country on Thursday.
Qawmi Madrasa Education Board organised the programme to raise awareness against
terrorism and militancy among the people, specially those, who are with madrasa background. As part of the programme, it also formed a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club.
The teachers of Qawmi Madrasa said, with a thousand-year-old history of good activities in this sub-continent, Qawmi madrasas help people achieve religious education. They are not associated with any form of terrorism or criminal activities.
“The religion of Islam and the Muslims has no connection with militancy. There is no room for militancy and terrorism in Islam,” they said.
As part of the programme, the teachers and the students formed human chains in front of their respective schools simultaneously across the country.
