Qatar Charity gives relief aid to flood-affected people in Sunamganj

Qatar Charity (QC), a Qatar based international charity organization, provided urgent relief aid to the flood-affected poor people in Sunamganj district which benefitted more than 20,000 individuals.
As a part of QC’s relief aid, the food packages have been delivered among the beneficiaries in Shalla and Madhyanagor Upazila in collaboration with the concerned local government authorities.
The relief aid, which contained many food items, has been provided aiming to minimize the sufferings of the flood-heated communities who are crying to meet their daily essentials.
“It’s a great humanitarian effort where the people of this areas are severely damaged by the recent flood. They have lost their homes, farmlands, cattle and so on. They need long term support to survive,” Amita Rani Das, Upazila Vice-Chairman in Shalla, said after joining in the QC’s relief distribution program.
The beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude in getting food relief from Qatar Charity. They also thanked to the benefactors and to the state of Qatar.
“Qatar Charity continues its work for the vulnerable communities in Bangladesh. The support will be continued for the flood-affected people who have lost their all belongings,” said Md Sohel Alam, Project Director of Qatar Charity.
