Deputy General Manager of Pubali Bank Ltd, Chittagong corporate branch Faruque Ahmed was sued before the court of senior Special Judge Md. Shah Noor on Thursday.
The plaintiff Laxmi Das(62) , wife of former officer of the same Bank filed the case before the court . The court took the case in cognizance and ordered the CMP senior official to scrutinize the papers so filed alongwith the petition .
At the same ACC, Chittagong also asked to take necessary actions regarding the matter, plaintifff’s lawyer said. Court sources said Laxmi Das deposited the pension money of her husband of Tk.38 lakh in same branch of Pubali Bank after death of her husband .
Laxmi Das came to Bank on March 24 last for withdrawing Tk.8 lakh from the Bank but declined by the DGM and again she was denied to withdraw money on May 3 last. Sources said the plaintiff also sent allegations before the ACC, Chittagong and Kotwali thana of CMP through postal service on September 21 last , counsel of the plaintiff said. Lastly Laxmi Das filed the case before the court under section 47(2) of 409 Anti corruption Act of 1947, sources said.
