Court Correspondent :
A case was yesterday filed against the Prothom Alo Editor Matiur Rahman on the charge of the death of Dhaka’s Residential Model School and College student Naimul Abrar.
Abrar’s father Md Mujibur Rahman lodged the case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court on Wednesday.
Magistrate Aminul Haque of the CMM Court directed to conduct the autopsy after exhuming the body of Abrar from the grave and submit the report on December 1.
Abrar’s father Mujibur Rahman first lodged an unnatural death case on November 2.
Later, he filed another case yesterday (Wednesday) bringing charge of death for negligence.
Abrar, a Class IX student of the institution, was electrocuted at a function organised by daily Prothom Alo’s magazine for juveniles ‘Kishor Alo’ on November 1.
It may be noted that Matiur Rahman is also the publisher of the Kishor Alo.
