Professor Dr Md Ahasanul Habib, Consultant and Chief Anesthesiologist of Square Hospital’s Cardiology Department, breathed his last at 6:30am after a massive cardiac arrest at Square Hospital in the capital on Tuesday.
He was 61.
He was the son of late Md Azizul Huq, a former education officer, and son-in-law of late M. Siddiqullah, former News Editor of now defunct

Dr Habib left behind his wife, two daughters (Nawrin Habib is now staying in USA with her husband and Dr Narisa Habib and her husband are in the Square Hospital) and a host of relatives, friends, well wishers and many colleagues to mourn his untimely and premature death.
His death caused an irreparable loss to the nation as he was one of the renowned anesthesiologists in the country.
Square Hospital Family including Chairman of the hospital Tapan Chowdhury condoled the death of Dr Habib and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
