The production at Fenchuganj Fertilizer Factory remained suspended since Tuesday morning due to gas crisis.
The factory authorities put its production on hold following government’s decision to stop gas supply to all fertilizer factories in the country to ensure uninterrupted power supply elsewhere during the summer, said Biplab Kumar Biswas, manager of Fenchuganj regional gas distribution office.
The production will be resumed on receipt of freshgovernment decision. “It may continue 5 days or 10 days. The production remains suspended at the fertilizer factory like this once or twice a year,” the official said.
