UNB, Narayanganj :The probe body, formed by the government to investigate the sensational seven-murder incident, will quizShamim Osman, MP and city mayor Selina Hayet Ivy.Shahjahan Ali Mollah, head of the probe body, said Osman and Ivy will be interrogated at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital on Monday.He said, the committee will submit its investigation report to the High Court through the Attorney General in the first week of the next month.Over the interrogation by the probe body, Ivy said, “Nazrul was a councilor of the city corporation while I’m the mayor. They might have called me for quizzing for this reason.”Meanwhile, Shamim Osman, an MP from Narayanganj-4 constituency, said, “I have not been informed yet about the interrogation. So now I can’t say anything about it.”So far, the probe body has questioned 356 people in connection with the murder case.The probe body chief said a letter will be sent to the senior secretary of the Public Administration Ministry to take necessary steps for interrogating Nur Hossain, the main accused in the case, who is now in a Kolkata jail.On April 27, Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, his three associates and driver, were abducted by miscreants from Fatullah area of the city. Hours after their abduction, senior lawyer at district Judge’s Court Chandan Kumar Sarker and his driver were also abducted on their way to capital Dhaka.Three days into their abduction, the bodies of six people, including that of Nazrul and Chandan Kumar, were recovered from the Shitalakhya River on April 30. Besides, another body was recovered from the Shitalakhya River on May 1.
