The prize-money of the ICC T20 World Cup was announced on Sunday last.
The qualifier matches of the ICC T20 World Cup will start on October 17. Bangladesh, Scotland, Oman and Papua New Guinea have been billed in Group-B. The Group-B matches will be held in Oman. Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland and Namibia have been placed in Group-A. Top two teams from each group will play in the final round (Super 12). The four teams, which will be eliminated from the qualifiers, will get US$ 40 thousand each. The 12 teams splitting into two groups will take part in the final round. The winners of the each match will get a bonus of US$ 40 thousand. Top two teams from each group will play in the semi-finals. The eight teams, which will be eliminated from the Super 12, will get US$ 70 thousand each.
The two teams, which will be eliminated from the semi-finals will get US$ four lakh each.
The champions will get US$ 16 lakh, while the runners-up will get US$ 8 lakh.
