Prize giving ceremony of the annual sports, literature and cultural competition of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall was held at the hall auditorium on Dhaka University campus, said a release on Monday.
Vice-Chancellor of the university Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique addressed the function as the chief guest and distributed crests and certificates among the winners on Sunday.
DU Pro-VC (academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad addressed the function as special guest with provost of the Hall Professor Dr Zakia Parveen in the chair.
Prof Arefin paid homage to Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in the beginning of his speech and said, “She was a politically farsighted woman in spite of being a housewife.”
