Quantico star Priyanka Chopra, who made her debut at the Emmys only last year, will return to the “Oscars of television” again and this time she will be presenting an award at the 69th Emmys, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The 35-year-old actress will join the list of big shot Hollywood and TV personalities in doing so, including the likes of Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Scott and Melissa McCarthy, states the report. The much anticipated Emmys have yet again zeroed in on Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles as the venue and will be hosted by famous TV personality Stephen Colbert.
Her fabulous appearance at the last Emmys where she wore a scarlet Jason Wu gown paired with a set of Brian Atwood heels, Priyanka took the internet by storm. She made headlines yet again for her trench-coat-style gown with a never-ending trail at the Met Gala.
Having made her Hollywood debut with Baywatch this year, Priyanka has two more Hollywood ventures in the pipeline – Isn’t It Romantic? and A Kid Like Jake. She will be seen reprising her role in the third season of Quantico. But sadly for her native aficionados, Priyanka will not be seen in any Bollywood projects this year.
However, the 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will honour the best in US primetime television programming from June 1, 2016 until May 31, 2017, chosen by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 and will be telecast live on CBS in the US. Transparent, Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale and This is Us are considered to be the front-runners in major categories. Channelwise, the freshman HBO science fiction western drama Westworld and NBC sketch comedy Saturday Night Live are the most nominated programs, each with 22 nominations.
