M'singh 4 murder: Prime accused arrested

Police arrested the prime accused in the case of murdering of a local Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal leader and three members of his family in Bhaluka upazila from Tongi of Gazipur district early Thursday.
The man has been identified as Hafizur Rahman Tanu, 25. A team of Mymensingh police in association with Gazipur police launched a drive in the area early in the morning and arrested Tanu, sources at Mymensingh police said.
Earlier, on December 16, police recovered the bodies of Rafiqul Islam Bachchu, General Secretary of Habirbari union unit of Sramik Dal, his wife Parul Akhter and two daughters and Jiniya Akhter, 6, and Rima Akhter from their house in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh.
Later, Bachchu’s father Wares Ali filed a murder case with Bhaluka Model Police Station on the fateful day against five people. Police on December 17 arrested three youths in connection with the gruesome murder.
