Pran, a leading food processing company in Bangladesh, has started collecting prickle samples for it competition.
Only female are allowed to participate in the 18th edition of Pran National Pickle Competition 2017 which began on July 23. The competition will continue till August 25.
A total 12 women will be awarded under four categories – sweet, sour, hot and mixed- while the ‘Pickle of the Year’ will get Tk2 lakh as a reward.
All winners will be awarded with attractive prizes. The 1st prize winner will get Tk50,000, 2nd prize winner will get a washing machine and the 3rd prize winner will win a micro oven.
A panel of judges will evaluate the pickles based on six characteristics- taste, external features, preservation, nutrition, packaging and innovation.
