Police Memorial Day has been celebrated in Barishal. Range DIG Shafiqul Islam and Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shahabuddin Khan and Barisal District Police super Maruf Hossain laid wreaths at the memorial of the slain policemen at the Barishal police line at 10am on Monday.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the drill shed of the police line under the chairmanship of District Superintendent of Police Maruf Hossain.
At the end of the meeting, honors and gifts were given to the families of 37 policemen of Barishal District and Metro who were killed while on duty from 2013 to 2021.
