A resident of Char Janmejoy village in Gafargaon municipal area Hasina Begum, in her eighties, lost her husband thirty years ago. With her son, wife and children she lives in Balipara village of Trishal upazila. Honest boys are disrespected in the family
Hasina used to stay in her husband’s house. Alal and Dulal used to take care of the honest mother. On Tuesday night, they e wrapped up the old woman in a sack and left her at Gafargaon Sholhasia area besid Bhaluka Road on Wednesday morning in a roadside sack.When the locals saw the wrapped old woman informed the police. Hasina Begum night was admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
On the other she was lying on the hospital bed covered with a blanket. She is being given saline. Residential Medical officer of Gafargaon Hospital Nasreen Sultana Moon said the old woman’s body is home to various diseases. She is being treated as much as possible.
Meanwhile, a relative from this old woman’s house is still in the hospital None come to inquire her.
Anwar Hossain Feroze, President of Gafargaon Upazila Branch of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission went to see Hasina Bewa in the hospital and said that the matter was very serious.
Upazila Social Service Officer Nazrul Islam Smaranik said the old woman was in the hospital Such treatment has been arranged. At the same time Hasina Bewa has housing problem. We are working on a solution.
Gafargaon Police Station OC Anukul Sarkar said police arrested Dulal and his son in the incident.The son-in-law Anwar was arrested and brought him to the police station. Talking with the old woman’s relatives necessary steps will be taken.
