PetroVietnam’s total revenue hits 20.29 bln USD in 2016

The total revenue of Vietnam’s National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) reached 452.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (20.29 billion U.S. dollars) in 2016.
According to a statement by the group on Friday, last year, it collected over 90 trillion Vietnamese dong (4.04 billion U.S. dollars) to the state budget, some 12.5 percent higher than estimate.
PetroVietnam exploited 17.23 million tons of oil in 2016, some 7.4 percent surpassing the yearly target. Its gas production output hit over 10.6 billion cubic meters, some 10.4 percent higher than the whole year’s estimate.
Meanwhile, the group produced some 21.2 billion kilowatt-hour of electricity and 6.87 million tons of petroleum, some 4.6 percent and 21 percent higher than the targets in 2016, respectively.
Under a scenario that the oil price is sold at 50 U.S. dollars per barrel in 2017, PetroVietnam said it strives to collect 437.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (19.63 billion U.S. dollars) in revenue and 74.6 trillion Vietnamese dong (3.35 billion U.S. dollars) to the state budget.
