FM Mehedi Hasan Parag of Leonine Chess Club beat IM Raja Panjwani of Canada in the first round game of the GM’s event of the 12th Annual Foxwoods Open Chess 2014, which was began on Wednesday last at Foxwoods Resort Casino and Hotel in Mashantucket in Connecticut of USA.
In the first round game, Parag played with black pieces with Nimzo-Indian defense and the game continued to Rubinstein Main Line. At 37 moves Parag gain a pawn and finally won against IM Raja after 59 moves.
