Bangladesh Hawker Sangram Parishad
A rally organised by Bangladesh Hawker Sangram Parishad was held in front of Awami Leagu office in the city’s Bangabandhu Avenue on Thursday. In the programme the leaders of the parishad congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her directive to the authorities concerned of Dhaka City Corporations to take necessary steps for the rehabilitation of hawkers. The function was addressed, among others, by hawker leaders Sardar Khorshed, Saizuddin Miah, Arif Chowdhury, Abul Kalam Jewel, Nani Gopal and Alamgir Talukder. Convenor of the parishad Abul Hosain presided over the event.
Jatiya Mukti Council
The leaders and activists of Jatiya Mukti Council paid tributes to those who were killed in Rana Plaza Collapse on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the collapse placing wreaths at the workers memorial in Savar on Wednesday. The event was attended, among others, by General Secretary of the council Faizul Hakim, Parvez Lelin, Hemanta Das, Abdus Sattar and Zarina Khatun. In the function the leaders of the council demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in the collapse and adequate compensation to the victims.
