BD Govt Pry School Headmasters’ Assoc
A discussion on ‘Quality Development of Primary Education’ organised by Bangladesh Government Primary School Headmasters’ Association was held in Sagor-Runi Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city’s Segunbagicha on Tuesday. In the programme the speakers demanded to meet its ten-point demands including appointment of Office Assistant cum Computer Operator in each primary school, formation of primary education completion examination board and enhancement of allocation of expenditure for the management of each primary school. The function was addressed, among others, by former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, General Secretary of Bangabandhu Shiksha O Gabeshona Parishad Prof Sirajul Haque Alo, Secretary General of the association Delwar Hossain, its Senior Vice-President Noor Mohammad and Finance Secretary Abdur Rahman. President of the association Badrul Alam presided over the event.
Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust
A human chain organised by different organisations including Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust was formed in front of the Jatiya Press Club. In the programme held recently the speakers demanded zebra crossing on the roads for the disabled for free movement. Assistant Project Officer of Work for a Better Bangladesh Trust Talukder Rifat Pasha presided over the event. Assistant Network Officer of the Institute of Wellbeing Mohammad Mithun conducted the event. The function was addressed, among others, by General Secretary of Protyasha , an anti-drugs organisation Helal Ahmed, Advocacy Officer of The Institute of Wellbeing ANM Masum Billah Bhuiyan, Chairman of Human Rights Disability and Development Foundation Mohammad Rajib Sheikh and Programme Officer of Society of the Deaf and Sign Language User Tasnuba Meherun.
