Younger brother of popular TV actress Saberi Alam Motaher, Ahir Alam was killed in a road mishap on September 11 in 2001. Ahir Alam was a promising play director. Specially he came into limelight to make a play titled Pret for Ekushey Television during that time. Ekjon Bhalo Chheler Kahini, Alo Andhokarey Jai, etc were his mentionable works.
After sudden death of her younger brother Saberi Alam had broken down mentally. Though September 12 is her birthday but she couldn’t celebrate the day because her brother’s death anniversary is September 11.
Usually despite having birthday she will be engaged with shooting today. She will be busy with shooting of film actor Alamgir’s movie Ekti Cinemar Golpo at BFDC. She is playing the role of Rituporna’s mother in the film.
Earlier with Alamgir Saberi Alam acted in Shahjahan Chowdhury’s movie Atmodan. For the first time she is working under Alamgir’s direction. Overall she feels lucky to get the scope to act in this movie.
While talking in this regard Saberi Alam told this correspondent, “Under Alamgir bhai’s direction I have working in his movie. I am lucky to get the scope to work in this movie. He earlier promised me to cast in his movie. He has kept his promise. I am also enjoying working with Rituporna in role of her mother in the film. She is so gentle and assisted me well. On my birthday today everybody pray for me as I can remain well.”
In Eid-ul-Fitr, Saberi Alam also acted in Bulbul Biswas’ movie Rajneeti. Her acting was highly appreciated to all. Her acted another movie was Shahjahan Chowdhury’s Modhumoti.
