Muktijuddho Mancha will bring out a colorful welcome procession to receive Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh on March 17 as he is set to arrive in Dhaka on the day to attend celebration of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They came up with the information at a press conference held on Thursday at the office of Dhaka University Journalists’ Association. This platform chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the ‘Mujib Barsho’ which will begin with paying tributes to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his mazar at Tungipara in Gopalganj by 100 freedom fighters. Its other year-long programmes include: planting of 100 trees in each educational institution of the country, photography and films exhibition on Bangabandhu’s life and works and voluntary blood donation campaign. President of the mancha Aminul Islam Bulbul and its General Secretary Al Amin were present, among others, on the occasion.
