Mainia Youth Forum
The ‘Mainia Youth Forum’, a youth organisation of Maizbhandar Darbar, has won the ‘Sheikh Hasina Youth Volunteer Award 2020’ in ‘Environmental Response’ category for its outstanding effort to conserve environment and resist the climate change. On the occasion of the year-long ‘Dhaka OIC Youth Capital 2020’ and the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Ministry of Youth and Sports conferred the award recently. President M Abdul Hamid handed over the award to the recipients at a function at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the city with State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Rasel in the chair. Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Youth Affairs Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan within Russian Federation Timur Suleymanov, ICYF President Taha Ayhan and Youth and Youth, Sports and Community Affairs Minister of Maldives Ahmed Mahloof were present at the function, among others. On behalf of Mainia Youth Forum President Sayeed Mehbub Mainuddin Al Hasani, Finance and Office Secretary Md Fayez Ahmed and Joint Secretary GM Rabby received the award and certificate of appreciation. About 7000 participants from eighty-six countries across the globe took part in the competition.
