Bangladesh Mahila Oikya Parishad
A seminar on ‘Religious Minority Women’s Heirs, Perspective: Vision-2021’ organised by Bangladesh Mahila Oikya Parishad was held at Melangon of Shri Shri Dhakshwari National Temple in the city on Friday.. Justice Krishna Debnath was present at the programme as the chief guest. In the function the speakers expressed their views about the rights of religious minority women in the properties of their parents and husbands. The speakers also urged the Prime Minister and Law Ministry to take necessary steps to ensure the rights of women in the properties of their parents and husbands. In this regard they also urged the government to formulate law immediately. General Secretary of the parishad Shrimati Deepali Chakravarti conducted the seminar. The function was also attended, among others, by Aroma Dutta, Bulbul Mahalanabish, Dr. Namita Halder and Rina Roy. Associate Professor of Dhaka University Shrimati Choiti Guha presented the key note in the function. President of the parishad Shrimati Supriya Bhattachariya presided over the event.
