Bam Ganotantrik Mahila Sangathan
A rally organied by Bam Ganotantrik Mahila Sangatha was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the city. In the programme held recently the leaders of the organisation bitterly criticized repression on women all over the country. They also demanded exemplary punishment to those involved in violating a woman in Subarnachar. The speakers condemned the killing of garment employee Sumon in police firing. Educationist AN Rasheda presided over the event. The function was addressed, among others, by President of Sramajibi Nari Moitree Bahnishikha Jamali, General Secretary of Samajtantrik Mahila Forum Engineer Shampa Basu, leader of Communist Party of Bangladesh (Women Cell) Luna Nur, Vice-President of Nari Mukti Kendra Advocate Sultana Akhter Rubi, President of Nari Sanghati Shyamali Shil and Joint Convener of Biplabi Nari Forum Amena Akhter. The speakers urged the government to take necessary steps for making safer work place for women employees in every sector.
