Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal
A meeting organised by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) was held in Kushtia on the 3rd instant. Information Minister and also President of JSD Hasanul Haq Inu was present in the programme as the chief guest. While speaking Inu said the BNP has created a total hazy political situation through placing the proposal for a poll-time government and the party might have an evil design in its participation in dialogue on reconstitution of Election Commission (EC) and cooperation with the EC Search Committee. Inu said the motive of the BNP will become clear only when the party will accept the EC to be constituted by the President and participate in the next general election. Expressing his surprise, the minister said despite resorting to undemocratic activities in politics for a long time by the BNP and its coalition partners the party finally joined the dialogue and cooperated with the EC Search committee. The meeting was attended, among others, by Kushtia Deputy Commissioner Zahir Raihan, officials of the local administration and president of Kushtia district unit of JSD (Inu) Golam Mohsin on the occasion.
Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad
A discussion on ‘Services to the Humanity and Bangabandhu’s Ideology’ organised by Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad was held recently in the seminar room of Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad in the city’s Topkhana Road. In the programme Poet Kazi Rozy, MP was present as the chief guest. while speaking Rozy said Bangabandhu was the symbol of humanity and ideal. We have to work together to implement Bangabandhu’s ideal and perception of the Liberation War in all spheres of our life to build the society of humanity. She said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked for the cause of humanity. In the function winter clothes were distributed among the cold -hit poor people. A doa mahfil was also held for the salvation of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and other martyrs. The programme was also addressed, among others, by cine artiste Faruque, Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Kendriya Command Council Prof Dr Abdus Salam Khan, Adviser of the parishad and former DIG of Police Tofazzal Hossain and Dr Ashrafuzzaman Mondol. Central President of the organisation Lion Mohammad Gani Mia Babul presided over the event.
