Human Environment Rights Society
A rally organised by Human Environment Rights Society (HERS) was held in front of the Jatiya Press Club at 11:30 am in protest against sexual harassment to women at TSC area of Dhaka University on the day of Pahela Baishakh celebration. In the rally the speakers demanded exemplary punishment to those responsible for sexual harassment. They called upon all to come forward to resist such heinous acts. The event was addressed, among others, by HERS Chairman Rudra Russel, its Director Bashir Ahmed, Executive Director Mirza Walid Hossain and Advocate Matiur Rahman Mati. The speakers urged the government to nab the culprits without any delay.
