State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury on Thursday said the operation of Bay Terminal will start in 2024.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Bay Terminal will be made….The operation of Bay Terminal will start in 2024,” the state minister said while visiting the ‘Bay-Terminal Construction’ project under Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) in Anandabazar area of Chattogram.
“Bay Terminal will have three terminals,” he said, adding that Chattogram port will do one terminal while the remaining two will be made through foreign investment maintaining the interests of the country.
Shipping Secretary Mohammad Mezbah Uddin Chowdhury, Chairman of CPA Rear Admiral M Shahjahan and chief executive officer (secretary) Public Private Partnership Authority of the Prime Minister’s Office Sultana Afroz also present on the occasion.
