Liberation War Affairs Minister A K M Mozammel Huq expressed his views that, Student life is the most important part of human life. One can donate or distribute his all properties among the people. But Knowledge is such an asset which nobody can distribute. It has to achieve.
The minister delivered his speech at the Online Orientation program-Summer & Fall Semester 2020 for the students of Eastern University (EU) held on Monday 28 December 2020. He graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Vice Chancellor of Eastern University & renowned Educationist Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain chaired the program. The Chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT) of Eastern University Sk. Sayedur Rahman was the Guest of Honor and Member of board of trustees of Eastern University Mohammed Ali Azzam was the special guest. Admission Director ASMG Faruk delivered the welcome speech on the occasion.
The Chairman of BoT Sk. Sayedur Rahman expressed that, Bangladesh is growing very fast & it will reach the Singapore very soon. So student will able to place in their respective job places easily.
Mr Ali Azam mentioned that, it is a great achievement of the present government to digitalize all the sectors of Bangladesh during its tenure for which the student can study through Online during such Covid 19 period.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Shahid Akhtar Hossain mentioned that Eastern University allocated Tk. 6.75 Crore among the children’s of Freedom Fighters as the scholarship amount since 2003 to till this semester. He advised students to use their time and knowledge properly for winning the race.
The program was telecasted from the streamyard. The event was also attended by Professor Tahmina Ahmed- the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Professor Dr Md Abbas Ali Khan- Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration & Professor Dr Md Mahfuzur Rahman-the Dean of the faculty of Engineering & Technology. A newly admitted student of Computer Science & Engineering Mahjabin Binte Mannan also expressed her feelings on the program.
All the guests advised the students to study attentively. Thus they can be rewarded after completion of the study.
The program was hosted by Sajed Fatemi, Director of the Public Relations of EU ended with his song of joy and happiness dedicated to the fresher’s.
