One killed in Narail clash over fish hatchery ownership

A man was killed and eight others were injured as two groups clashed over the ownership of a government fish hatchery at Tapanbagh village of Sheikhhati union in Narail on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman.
Locals said a villager Golam Rasul along with his group went for fishing in the hatchery demanding its ownership around 5:00 am.
The clash ensued as the lessee of the hatchery, Mahfuzur Rahman’s guards opposed them, leaving Abdur Rahman critically injured.
He was rushed to Jessore Medical College and later he succumbed to his injuries.
One was held in the connection, said officer-in-charge (Operation) of Narail Sadar Police Station Md Amanullah Al Bari.
