RAB-7 forces in the port city recovered huge quantities of VOIP equipment from Solakbahar area under Panchalaish thana on Monday night.
During the raid in Al Madani road in Solakbahar, forces detained Md. Rashed Nizam(25) alongwith contraband VOIP equipment worth about Tk.22 lakh , sources said. The seized VOIP accessories include 2 computers, one laptop , 4 CPU, 4 Riders, 4 internet switch, , 5 mordem, 15 antena and 7474 mobile SIM. This was disclosed by the RAB officials at a press conference held at its Chandgaon office in city yesterday morning. The press meet was told that acting on secret information, law enforcers conducted raid at midnight of Monday in Al Madani road of Solakbahar.Rashed Nizam was arrested from a house who hails from Boalkhali upazila.
Case under cyber act is being processed for filing case before the concerned police station, sources said.
