Customs Intelligence officials detained a passenger with 10 gold bars and 100 grammes of gold ornaments, weighing total 1.26kg, from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong on Thursday.
The detainee Nur Uddin, 26, of Fatikchhari upazila in the district, arrived from Dubai by a Fly Dubai flight in the morning, said Uttam Biswas, assistant director of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate, Chittagong.
The gold, worth Tk 46 lakh, were found inside a bag he was carrying, the official added.
