Akhter Hamid Monsur, Journalist and former General Manager (Public Relations) of Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) died on Monday due to cardiac failure (Inna lillahe…Rajeun). He was 68.
He was suffering from Parkinson disease. He left behind his wife and only daughter. He was buried at martyred intellectual’s graveyard in Mirpur.
Akhter Hamid Monsur was in-charge of Public Relations Section of BEPZA from 1984 to 2004.
A doa mahfil seeking salvation of his departed soul would be held on 28th august Friday after Asr prayers at his residence in Mohammadpur.
