NUB Treasurer Prof Anwar Hossain dies

Prof Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Treasurer of Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) passed away on at 11:45 am yesterday, says a press release.
He died while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka( Innalillahi Rajiun). At the time of his death, he was 72 years old. he left a number of well-wishers including his wife, one son, one daughter and grandchildren.
Mohammad Anwar Hossain was appointed as the Treasurer of Northern University Bangladesh on February 19, 2015 by the President. Prior to that, he performed various important duties including the Registrar of Dhaka University, the founding Principal of Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur, and the teachers of Jhenaidah Cadet College. He was nominated as best teacher for two consecutive years in 1969 and 1970. Note that he was the cousin of Bir Shreshtho Matiur Rahman. Chairman of Board of Trustees of Northern University Bangladesh Prof. Abu Yusuf Mohammad Abdullah, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Anwar Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Anwarul Karim and Registrar Col (Retd) Aqtedar Ahmed Siddiqui condoled the death.
