A man was killed as a part of a tin-shed house collapsed on him during a nor’wester that lashed Sadar upazila on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Mafij, 50, of Futkibari village in the upazila.
Witnesses said the storm that lasted for about half an hour swept through several villages of the upazila in the evening. Mafij died on the spot as a part of his house heat by the storm collapsed on him. It also damaged crops and uprooted a good number of trees.
