Teachers and employees of non-government educational institutions demanded new pay scale along with the government employees from July 1 this year. They formed a human chain in Chapainawabganj town on Thursday under the banner of Bangladesh College Teachers Association (BCTA) at Nawabganj Government College Square.
During the human chain, president of the Chapainawabganj district unit of BCTA Mosharraf Hossain, secretary Principal Anwarul Islam, Principal Ekramul Hoque and other teachers leaders spoke to the gathering.
After the human chain they gave a memorandum to the prime minister through the deputy commissioner of Chapainawabganj.
