Chattogram City Corporation’s (CCC) Returning Office declared legal the nomination papers of the seven mayor candidates out of nine in the CCC polls.
However, the returning office, canceled the nominations of two independent candidates.
Three of the major candidates who were declared valid are Awami League’s Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, BNP’s Dr Shahdat Hossain and Jatiya Party’s Md Solaiman Alam Sheth.
CCC’s Returning Officer Mohammad Hasanuzzaman announced their candidature valid on Sunday (March 01) morning.
The CCC election is slated to be held on March 29.
