No damage recorded Fire at Foreign Ministry

A fire broke out in the old building of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Wednesday morning.
It originated from an electric short circuit at the server room around 9:00 am, said a press release of the ministry.
However, no vital damage was recorded in the fire except wires for internet connectivity, it said.
Hearing the fire alarm, Najmul Islam, Director General (Admin) and others rushed in and doused the blaze with the help of internal fire extinguishing system. On information, fire fighters also moved in and watered the smog in the server room.
A three-member probe team headed by Director General (Admin) has already been formed to investigate the incident, it added.
