There may be much Republican hand-wringing over Donald Trump’s presumptive nomination to face the Democratic candidate for the White House, but the boastful billionaire says he doesn’t care, and it doesn’t matter.
A growing chorus of senior Republican leaders have joined the “anyone but Trump movement,” including 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and the last two Republican presidents, George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush.
Australian PM calls election for July 2

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull Sunday called an election for both houses of parliament on July 2, as he seeks his own mandate with the public just eight months after deposing predecessor Tony Abbott in a party coup.
The widely expected announcement was the latest chapter in the turbulent world of Australian politics, where a revolving door of leaders saw multi-millionaire former banker Turnbull, 61, become the fourth prime minister in just over two years when he ousted Abbott in September.
Gunmen kill 8 Egyptian cops

Gunmen shot dead eight plain clothed Egyptian policemen in the Helwan district south of Cairo, the interior ministry said today.
The policemen were travelling in a minivan when the assailants in a pickup truck blocked their path and sprayed the vehicle with automatic rifle fire, the ministry said.
Terrorists, including ISIS operatives, have killed hundreds of policemen and soldiers in attacks, mostly in the Sinai Peninsula and also in and around Cairo.
6 Taliban executed in Afghanistan

Afghanistan hanged six prisoners convicted of terrorism offences, as President Ashraf Ghani carried out a threat to approve executions as part of a tougher new policy toward the Taliban. The death sentences, carried out at the Pule Charkhi prison on the outskirts of Kabul on Sunday, underlined the harder line pursued by the government since a suicide attack claimed by the Taliban last month killed at least 64 people in Kabul.
