Month-long Int’l Trade Fair begins in Bogra

Bogra Chamber of Commerce and industry-run month-long international Trade Fair was inaugurated at Kadamtoli ghat of Dattabari area of Bogra town on Thursday noon. The fair was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of Bogra Safiqur Reja Biswas. The inauguration of the fair was followed by a discussion presided over by the convener of the fair and vice-president of the Chamber Enamul Haque Dulal. Speakers were superintendent of police Mozammel Haque, AL Bogra district unit president and director of FBCCI Momotaz Uddin and chamber existing president Masudur Rahman Milon.
 Wheel driver killed in Jhenidah road crash

 A three-wheeler driver was killed in a road crashed at bypass road stand on Jhenidah-Jessore road in Jhenidah sadar upazila on Friday morning.The deceased was identified as Ramzan Ali, 42 son Goni Molla of Bagdanga village of the upazila. Officer in charge (OC) Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury of sadar police station said, on Friday morning at around 11:00 am a Kaligonj bound three wheeler localy known as Tampu collided head on with a land laden tractor at bypass road stand on Jhenidah-Jessore road in Jhenidah sadar upazila, leaving three wheeler driver died on the spot. On information police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent to Jhenidah sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy.
One burn to death in Natore

One house was burnt to ashes in a devastating fire at village Telkupi under Natore sadar upazila of the district on April 17 at about 11 am. On getting information, members of Natore Fire Service Station with locals rushed to the spot and doused the fire. But Shihab Uddin,12, son of Shahidul Islam of village Telkupi of the upazila burn to death in a devastating fire. Assistant director of Natore fire station Md. Abdur Rouf said, that the fire originated from a kitchen room of affected Shahidul Islam.
Young woman body recovered at Bhairab

The dead body of an unidentified young woman was recovered at Bhairab. The dead body was kept in a brief case which was bounded by tap and polythene. The brief case was found at Luhaghat on the bank of Meghna. The body was recovered by the police at 10 am on Monday. The dead body sent to Kishoreganj Hospital Morgee for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection with Bhairab Thana.
Youth chopped to death in Jessore
JESSORE: A youth was chopped to death by some miscreants on the premises of City College in the town last night. The deceased was identified as Islam Uddin, 18, son of Afzal Hossen of Barandipara area of the town. Police sources said a group of miscreants led by Hafizur and Akidul of the same area chopped Islam with sharp weapons around 9pm during a quarrel over sitting arrangement at a cultural show on the college campus. The youth suffered fatal injuries in the attack. Islam Uddin was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A murder case was filed with Kotwali Model thana in this connection, reports BSS.
