Two JKNIU students killed in road accident

Two students of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU) were killed in a road accident at an intersection of the University on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Trishal area of Mymensingh on Monday evening.The deceased are Abdullah Al-Mamun, a first year student of Computer Science department and Mahfujur Rahman Asif, a 3rd year student of the same department of the university.Police said the accident took place when a bus hit them while they were going to Trishal by motorcycle from the university leaving Mamun dead on the spot and Asif critically injured.Asif died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital.

The 378th bnranch of Rajshahi Krishi Unnoyan Bank has been inaugurated at Pathan Mirzapur bazar area under Nandigran upazila of Bogra sdistrict on Monday. Area commander of 11 Podatik Bahiny major general AKM Abdullahel Baki formally inaugurated the branch as the chief guest while director of the bank Dr. professor Shah Newas, Abdul Masum Rokon, Director general Munzur Ahmed, vice director general Abdul Khalekh Khan, divisional director general Mahmuddul Hasan, zonal manager Khorshed Aalom and chairman of Thalta Majhgram Afsar Ali spoke on the occasion.

President Abdul Hamid vowed to establish the branch of RAKUB last year while he was observing the winter national parade of military in the area.
