Cattle owners mugged, two suspect beaten up

Locals handed two suspected muggers to Monirampur police after beating up them at Dhakuria -Chapakona under the police station on Friday night. The muggers are Rana, 24 and Jewel, 23 of Narendrapur village under jessore sadar upazila. Shafiar Gazi of Jaipur village under Monirampur upazila told that people of Narendrapur and adjacent areas beat up the muggers after they had mugged Tk one and a half lakh as they reached the area after selling two cows at Rupdia cattle market at around 8:30 pm on Friday. Hearing the hue and cry locals rushed to the place and beat up the two while the others were managed to flee. Sub inspector Shikder Motiar Rahman, second officer, Monirampur police station told that the two were rushed to Monirampur upazila health complex with critical condition

Lions Club of Panchakhanda and Lions Club of Beanibazar distributed 400 pack of relief on behalf of Lions Foundations recently in Dubag and Muria Unions in Beanibazar Upazila under Sylhet dist. A sudden onset of torrential rains last three week unleashed widespread flash flooding across greater Beanibazar in Bangladesh, affecting hundred thousands of people in the region. Among the food assistance being distributed are vitamin and mineral-fortified high energy foods, grocery items for the many rendered homeless by the flash floods and now vulnerable to food insecurity and worsening poverty. “Flash floods made the distribution of food very challenging but even remote areas were reached within a matter of hours,” confirmed Arbab Hsssain Khan the President of Lions of Panchakhanda in Bangladesh. DFED free health camp in Narsingdi
DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED) organised a day-long Free Health Camp for pregnant mother and child at Narandi Shorafat Ali Government High School Premises of Monohordi Upazila under Narsingdi District on Tuesday, says a press release. A specialist team of doctors on Gynecology and Children examined 167 pregnant mothers and 142 children. Assistant Education Officer of Monohordi Upazila Raton Kumar Sen inaugurated the camp. Chairman of Sukundi Union Parishad Abdul Gani Farazi and Head of DAM Foundation for Economic Development Md. Asaduzzaman spoke on the occasion. Free Iron Capsule, Postikona and Krimi Nasok tablet were distributed among the Anemia attacked pregnant mothers alongside their health checkup.
