Discussion meeting on Traffic Week held in Baraigram

A rally and a discussion meeting was held at Bonpara by-pass area as a part of programme of traffic week in Baraigram under Natore district on Tuesday.
Baraigram Thana OC Dilip Kumar Dash presided over the meeting while Member of Parliament of Natore-4 seat (Baraigram-Gurudaspur) Prof Abdul Kuddus was present as Chief Guest, Additional Police Super Mir Asaduzzaman (Operation), Additional Police Super of Baraigram Circle Harun Ar Rashid, Bonpara Highway Thana OC Delwar Hossain, Bonpara Pouro Mayor KM Jakir Hossain, Upazila Vice Chairman Ataur Rahman, Mahila Upazila Vice Chairman Suraiya Akter Koli were present as special guests in the meeting. It was also addressed among others by Officer- In- Charge of Bonpara Police Tadantra Kendra Nazmul Haque, Police Inspector Sumon Ali. Speakers delivered their valuable speech on traffic rule, child marriage, eve-teasing, sexual harassment and drug control.

Flood hit students get education materials

NILPHAMARI: A total of 1,800 flood hit students in Dimla upazila of the district got education materials from UNICEF on Wednesday. A function was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium this noon on the occasion with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nazmun Nahar in the chair. It was addressed, among others, by UNICEF executive Nazibullah Hamim, Upazila Parishad Chairman Tobibul Islam, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Primary Education Md Abdul Wahab, District Primary Education Officer Osman Goni and Communication Officer of UNICEF Monzur Ahmed. Students from 14 flood affected primary schools of the upazila got books, notebooks, pencils, scales, chalk, duster, glass, jar and school bags, reports BSS.
