Advocacy on Govt, contractor forum held

Bangladesh Center for Communication Programmes, a project of Planning Ministry arranged an advocacy on e-GP tender- government and contractor at Kishoreganj Collectorate Conference room on Sunday.Secretary, IM Division of Planning Ministry Farid Uddin Ahamed Chowdhury attended as Chief Guest, C.P.T.U IM Division D.G & Additional Secretary Md. Faruk Hossain as special guest while ADC (Gen) Tarafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair. It was addressed among others by Zila Parishad C.E.O Shibir Bichitra Bareaua, Civil Surjeon Dr. Abdul Goni, RHD Executive Engineer Md. Shafiqul Islam, LGED Executive Engineer Golam Moula, PWD Executive Engineer Md. Shafiqul Islam, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, District Press Club President Mustafa Kamal, Former Kishoreganj Chamber President Badal Rahman, NDC Umma Fathema and Communication Consultant of CPTU Md. Shafiul Alam. All Executive Engineer, Asstt. Engineer, Contractor, Journalist and expert were also present on the occasion.
View exchange meet on anti- corruption held

 A view exchange meeting on anti-corruption was held at Saltia Union Parishad Hall Room at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently. Upazila Anti-corruption Committee officials and Chairman and Members of Saltia Union Parishad at Union parishad took part in the meeting to create awareness about the corruption on Thursday noon. To create awareness against corruption among people from all walks of life attended the meeting. Md.Najmul Haque Dhali, Chairman of Saltia Union Parishad, presided over the meeting .Dr.K.M.Ehsan Advocate, President of Gafargaon Upazila Anti-corruption Committee was the chief guest . H.Kabir Titu ,General Secretary of Upazila Anti-corruption committee conducted the meeting. Nirupoma Debonath, Vice- President, of upazila anti-corruption committee, member of upazila anti- corruption committee, Hadiul Islam,member of 7 No Ward of this union, and local inhabitant Khuka Mea delivered their speeches on anti-corruption. The chief guest Adv Dr.K.M.Ehsan urged the people to help the committee to build up mass awareness among people about corruption. Md.Najmul Haque Dhali, chairman of Saltia union parishad urged the people to prevent corruption from the society.
Destiny Consumers Assoc demands release of its Chief

Destiny Consumer Association formed human chain in Sylhet on Saturday demanding immediate release of Destiny-2000 Chairman Mohammed Hussain, Destiny Group Chairman Mr. Rafiqul Amin respectively.
It has been learnt that Consumer Association has been demanding immediate released of its Destiny-2000 Chairman Mohammed Hussain, Destiny Group Chairman Rafiqul Amin who have been arrested since long. They have been observing protest programme for the last a few months as a part of their release movement on Saturday. The Human-chain was formed in front of the Sylhet Central Shohid Minar at 11.00 a.m.
The hour long human-chain formed into a mass-gathering in which consumer association members Misbaul Haque, Abdus Salam, Nurul Islam, Mujibur Raman, Abdur Razzak, Gupal Chandra Das, Forhad Jaigirdhar, Nurul Islam(2), Hasmot Ullah, Abdul Kadir, Paplu Das, Ziaur Rahman, Shamim Ahmed, Choyan Dev, Ronjit Talukder, Kajol Paul, Abidur Rahman, Abu Foysal, Farook Rashid, Ritu Dev.
Sylhet Divisional Consumer association Co-ordinator Bikash Dhor Bablu presided over this gathering.
