New Year in English poetry

Poet William Wordsworth is one of the few who became famous in the romantic era, was well-known for his love of nature. He was known as "˜Poet of Nature.' He wrote for the new year "˜On the eve of a New Year.' His poetry in welcoming New Year has shown a great change in nature. Moon laughed to salute him. The clouds flying in the sky were stirring him to love. The moon did not greet only, the poet also greeted nature. These are New Year's creativity and natural effect respecting a new era. He prayed for the bells at the church tower and welcomed the year from deepest heart

Sufian Raihan :
n the history of civilization, people had to struggle in different backgrounds in different ages. The history of this struggle is the true calendar of human civilization. In a special case, when people were struggling with nature, it was formulated in Calendar. And that significance was reflected in the society. In the infinite stream of time, a new day arises and one day is lost. The earth is once full of rotating on its poles; it is a day-night. In such a way, the summer-monsoon-year period turns around in a year.
Each New Year, we have before us like a brand new book containing 365 blank pages. We have to fill them with our day to day works and the forgotten things of last year-the words we forgot to say, the love we forgot to show, the charity we forgot to offer, finally the answer which we have missed and made mistakes in the last Year. Bidding adieu to the past year and congratulating the coming year is the theme of poetry of some English poems.
