The pro-BNP professionals’ platform under the name “Adorsho Dhaka Andolan” is going to be floated soon for conducting the city elections.
The platform will campaign for the BNP-backed candidates in the polls to three city corporations– Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC).
Sources said, the 1001-member committee of the platform would be announced soon. Former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr Emajuddin Ahmed will be made the convener of the committee while journalist leader Shaukat Mahmud will be its member secretary.
Professors of Dhaka University Dr AFM Yusuf Haider, Dr Sadrul Amin, Dr Mahbub Ullah, Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury of Gonoswasthya Kendro and journalist Mahfuz Ullah will also be included in the committee.
