The government has appointed new High Commissioners to its Missions in the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka while a new Ambassador to Belgium.
The government has made Ismat Jahan, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Belgium and EU, as the country’s next High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. She will replace Md Abdul Hannan.
Md Shahdat Hossain, now serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy, has been appointed the country’s new Ambassador to Belgium. He will replace Ismat Jahan. Besides, Riaz Hamidullah, presently working as Director General of the Multilateral Economic Affairs Wing in the Foreign Ministry, has been made the country’s next High Commissioner to Sri Lanka. He will replace Tarik Ahsan.
In three media releases on Monday, the Foreign Ministry made the announcement of the new appointments.
